The third chapter of this manual (D3) is more practically oriented than the previous chapters. It is geared toward identifying problems and issues routinely encountered in the field and offers guidance and/or recommendations for resolving them with minimal effort. This section offers the most value if read early in a project as many of the recommendations impact design or installation philosophies that once set, can be difficult to modify. It is recommended reading for any group involved in locating, supporting or installing mechanical systems in structures.
