Spring Wire-Tie Ceiling Hanger
Will the desired plenum space wind up covered with duct, pipe, and related MEP items packed in so closely that you can’t suspend ceiling isolation hangers close to the deck? Don’t limit your options for optimal ceiling isolation hangers. The Kinetics Muta hanger is an excellent choice when using wire to suspend the ceiling grid. With a full one-inch rated deflection spring in series with a rubber element, it is easy to resiliently support one or more layers of gypsum board.

Using eyebolts (welded closed) at the top and bottom of the hanger body, installing contractors can suspend the hanger assembly anywhere in the plenum between the deck above and the grid below, easily avoiding duct and pipe. At least a 15-inch airspace forms between the concrete deck and gypsum board if all hangers are suspended at the same elevation. In other words, this is a hanger that allows for flexible installation in a crowded plenum space. Installing contractors familiar with wire-tying will be able to incorporate MUTA into the hanger grid system, ensuring the hanger system is installed plumb.
