Architectural Noise Separation:
Sound control building products used in floors, walls, or ceilings, or as
part of any noise control solution in a building where an architect is the
primary party responsible for the design. This includes but is not limited
to medical, commercial, institutional, residential, and educational use buildings.
Industrial/Production facilities are excluded (see Industrial). Typical products
include: sound isolation (floating) floors, ceiling and wall isolation hangers,
brackets, and clips, duct and pipe lagging sound barrier materials, and sound
absorber panels in mechanical or electrical equipment areas. Building or partial
building isolation, helipad, or adjacent trackbed isolation components that
are used to reduce the transmission of vibration are also included.
Commercial Duct Silencers, Plenums and Louvers:
HVAC in-line duct silencers, louvers and double-wall plenum enclosures for
outside air, exhaust air and built-up air-handling units. Main focus: plan
and spec and design-build markets.
Home Theater Acoustics:
Dedicated room isolation, acoustical interior designer treatments, kit treatments,
fabric stretch treatments and custom components tailored for use in the home
theater / media rooms.
HVAC Vibration Isolation:
Spring Isolators, mounts, pads cable restraints and snubbers used for Vibration
Isolation, seismic and wind restraint of building heating, ventilating and
air-conditioning systems including piping and ductwork riser systems and equipment
support bases.
Industrial Noise and Vibration Control:
Airborne Noise Control & Vibration Isolation as it applies to the control of noise in industrial/manufacturing facilites
and processes. Main focus: design/build & safety engineers and plant managers.
Enviromental Noise Control:
Airborne Noise Control Products used to control noise that has an outdoor sound propagation path.
Noise produced by mechanical quipment, construction site operations . Main focus, new & retrofit markets.
Interior Room Acoustics:
Decorative acoustical materials that are used to control or tailor noise in
"sensitive" or "problem" areas like theaters, natatoriums,
band rooms, gymnasiums. Primary products include absorption and reflective
panels for ceiling and wall applications.
