Flexco Isolation Pad

Description:

Kinetics Model NDM Flexco vibration and isolation noise pads are a cured homogeneous blend of ozone-resistant rubber elastomer and high-strength random synthetic fiber cords. The pad material exhibits uniform behavior in all directions which makes it suitable for the support of heavy structural bearing loads. The pads are capable of being statically loaded up to 2000 psi (141 kg/m2) and dynamically loaded up to 1000 psi (70 kg/m2) for shock application. An optional oil-resistant pad coating is available.

Flexo Isolation Pad

Application:

Kinetics Model NDM Flexco isolation pads are recommended for noise, vibration, and shock control applications which require a pad-type isolator. They are to be used where the psi load on the pad exceeds the load-carrying capability of our Model KIP fiberglass isolation pads.

Typical applications of Model NDM Flexco pads include use with foundry, steel mill and other high load equipment. NDM Flexco pads are also used to support load-bearing walls and beneath building foundations in order to reduce transmitted noise, shock, and vibration.

    Specification

Isolation pads shall be a homogeneous blend of ozone-resistant rubber elastomer and high-strength random synthetic fiber cords cured together to form a durable material with uniform behavior in all directions suitable to support isolated equipment loads.

Isolation pads shall conform to the specified ASTM and other material test requirements in all directions perpendicular to the pad’s thickness.

Isolation pads shall be of the size and thickness specified or shown by the contract drawings. Unloaded thickness tolerance shall be within 15% or ±1/16 inch, (2 mm) whichever is greater.

Compressive stress on the isolation pad shall be limited to 2000 psi (141 kg/m2) for static loading and 1000 psi (70 kg/m2) for shock or vibration applications. Technical specifications for the isolation pad material shall be as tabulated.

Isolation pad shall be Model NDM by Kinetics Noise Control, Inc.
