Fabric wrapped acoustical panels have long been used to add comfort to a space by reducing reverberation. While all fabric panels may look the same on the outside, how the inner core is constructed will dictate not only how much sound will be absorbed but at which frequencies the absorption will occur.

HARDSIDE is a traditional acoustical panel and an economical solution for general reverberation problems. This panel is best utilized in areas where loud reverberation, not fidelity is the concern. Areas such as great rooms and restaurants are spaces where HardSide’s unbalanced high-frequency over-absorption is not likely to be noticed.*

The core of this panel is a 6-7 PCF fiberglass board. The perimeter of each panel is hardened for durability and crisp wrapped edges.

Panel sizes are available up to a maximum 5' x 10' or custom shaped panels with angled or contoured perimeter cuts.

  • Standard thickness from 1" to 4"
  • Edge treatments: Square, Bevel, Radius and Pencil
  • NRC: 0.80 to 1.05

TAD

TAD panels cover the absorptive core with a variable impedance laminate. Standard-sized openings in the laminate are sized and spaced to optimize absorption in low to mid frequencies while creating random higher frequency reflective surfaces between the openings. For increased low frequency absorption, a thicker core (2 to 4 inches) can be utilized. TAD’s absorption profile makes it a good fit for rooms that already contain high-frequency absorptive materials such as curtains, thick carpet, and deep-cushioned fabric covered furniture.*

  • Standard sizes in 2' increments up to 4' x 10'
  • Standard thicknesses of 1-1/8", 2-1/8", 3-1/8" and 4-1/8"
  • Edge treatments: Square, Bevel, Radius and Pencil

VERSATUNE’s engineered composite core absorbs lower frequency acoustic energy more effectively than traditional panels without adding thickness or excessive cost. VersaTune improves the listening quality in a space by reducing excessive bass reverberation while leaving some high frequency tones. VersaTune is a very balanced absorber and should be selected for high fidelity projects which lack thick plush carpeting and furniture. *

  • Sizes up to 4' X 10'
  • Standard thicknesses of 1-1/8", 2-1/8", 3-1/8" and 4-1/8"
  • Edge treatments: Square, Bevel, Radius and Pencil
*The acoustic statements above are offered as a simplified overview of HardSide, TAD, and VersaTune’s absorption profiles. The amount and type of absorption required in a space varies and often a blend of different absorptive products is required for optimum performance.
