A particularly high level of sound isolation is required for studio spaces to protect against any extraneous noise. Typical "box within a box" construction with isolated floors, resiliently braced double walls, and an isolated ceiling is required.

Floors - Model RIM roll-out isolation material for isolating a concrete slab or a heavy built-up composite floor. Note: In some cases where low-frequency vibration intrusion is a concern, the Model LSM spring liftslab system is utilized.

Walls - Typically, double-wall construction using sway braces, Model PSB or Model KWSB. The interior wall rests on the floating floor and is isolated at the top plate with Model IPRB restraint brackets or one of the sway braces. Where single stud walls are utilized, Model IsoMax clip can be used for STC 60-65 ratings.

Ceilings - Spring and neoprene low-frequency isolation hangers are typically selected to suspend a heavy drywall ceiling. See Model ICC, Model SRH or, when ceiling space is an issue, Model KSCH hangers when attaching to the deck above.

For wood frame construction, the Model ICW hanger is designed to attach on the side of the joist.
