Often a cause of noise complaints, the equipment room requires high-deflection pads and substantial concrete mass for the equipment room floor. At the same time, excessive movement of the isolation slab should be avoided.
Floor - Model RIM with 3-inch thick pads selected to support a thick concrete slab of 10 inches or more in height.
Walls - Model IsoMax for high STC single-wall assemblies. Model PSB or Model KWSB for double-wall assemblies.
